In Japan, people who don’t catch the cold also wear masks. This is the main cause that wearing masks means to prevent from getting a disease. And then, people who get disease wear masks because their bad virus comes outside and make other people caught. Thus, Wearing masks is a good manner through the popularity of virus. They usually wear masks in public places where its easy to be crowded.

In the regardless of sick, Japanese people wear masks. For example, it is said that masks make face look smaller than usual, so some young people try to wear always to look their faces small like a model. In the market of cosmetics, people who don’t make up wear to hide the face because they don’t like to be seen without making up.
And also, in order to hide the face, famous actors and actress are wearing masks. By hiding their mouths, it gets difficult to find who they are for public people.

Japanese young people wear masks as fusion items

As the number of young people wearing masks these days, the kinds of masks are increasing. There are not only white masks, but also pink and black masks, and also patterned masks. Masks are getting a part of fashion among young people.

In Japan, you can buy masks somewhere such as drug stores, convenience stores, and super markets. It takes usually around 500 yen including 7 pieces of masks to buy. Masks are made of textiles, and very soft, so it is fragile and reusable. During the trend of influenza, sometimes the stock of masks disappears in the stores. After the situation, the number of masks which can be washed and used many times is increasing.

Japanese and Asian country people may like masks that use some way

As you know the reason, it is usual for Japanese people to wear masks to save ourselves from disease. So don’t be careful for people wearing masks when you come to Japan, and don’t think that they have some bad disease. They and we just wear for good manners.
