In 2020, the Olympics will finally be held in Japan. Many players will have a great fight in Tokyo. I want you to see this big event. And I want you to enjoy japan with the Olympics. This time, I will introduce the Tokyo Olympics and recommended sightseeing spots in Nagano prefecture in Japan.

About Tokyo Olympics

The Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 24^th to August 29^th,2020. And the Tokyo Paralympics will be held from August 25^th to September 6^th,2020. Opening and closing ceremonies take place at the “Olympic Stadium”. Each game take place in 42 venues including the “Olympic Stadium”. The game venue is not always in Tokyo, so be careful when going to the game. Also, summer is very hot in Japan, and it is expected to be extremely hot during the Olympics Games. Tokyo is the capital of Japan, so it has a large population, and it is expected that more people will visit during the Olympic Games.

New Olympic event “karate”

A notable event in the Tokyo Olympics is “Karate”, which has become a new official Olympic event. “Karate” is sport originated in Japan and karate is practiced around the world. There are two types of karate “kata” and “kumite”. Both types are powerful, so you will enjoy. The venue for karate is “Nippon Budokan”. You will see a great battle.

Recommended sightseeing spot in Nagano prefecture when Tokyo Olympics

Nagano prefecture is the place to visit when you come to Japan. Nagano has many sightseeing spots, and you can go to Nagano from Tokyo on the Shinkansen in about an hour and a half. I introduce two recommended places.

Zenkoji temple (Tokyo Station to Nagano Station about 90 minutes by Shinkansen ＋ Approximately 30 minutes by Walk)

Zenkoji temple is one of the oldest temples in Japan and has a history of about 1400 years. Zenkoji temple is a national treasure. （It is a famous one in seven years to worship HOnzon at Gokaicho） The main hall of Zenkoji temple has width 24meters, depth 54 meters, and height 29 meters. It’s so big and powerful! Also, there are many souvenir shops and meals on the approach to a shrine, so you can enjoy it!

Bessho onsen

Bessho onsen a perfect place for sightseeing with hot spring, temple restaurants, etc. there is a footbath in this area, and anyone can take for free. Also, I recommend visitors worship both Kitamuki Kannon and Zenkoji-Temple because it is said Ryomairi that becomes happy. there is a national treasure “Hakkaku Sanjyunoto” (octagonal triple tower), and the majestic appearance is attractive. Bessho Onsen is an area full of nature where you can relax. Compared to other sightseeing spots, it is not crowded, so it can be said to be a little-known tourist spot.
