Hokkaido has a snowfall of 79 cm in January, about 40% of the average in January. There will be no heavy snowfall until the end of January, a record low for January.
Nagano, Hakuba also had very little snow in January. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, in February and March, snow maybe a little more, but less than usual. Sliding ski areas are limited and will be crowded.
March and April will tend to rise temperature
