As you may know, Nagano has many mountains and is around much nature, so the temperature is lower than in Tokyo. However, this was a warm winter, so I think that this coming spring may come earlier than last year.

Temperature, Weather in Japan in February
The temperature is usually around 10℃ in Tokyo, while in Nagano it’s some times lower than 0℃ in the winter night. Talking about the weather, also in Tokyo it’s snowing, but this is a warm spring and scarfs also are needed.
In Nagano, although the temperature is like usual situation, this year the amount of snow is less than usual because of aa warm spring, so you may not be able to enjoy playing snow sports as skiing and snowboarding. Instead of that, I suggest you go camping in the mountain. In the winter, the sky is more clear and it’s easier to watch stars
When Sunset and Sunrise in February?
In Nagano, sunrise is after A.M. 6:00 and sunset is after P.M. 5:00. As days are passed, the time of sunrise is earlier and one of sunset is later. Moreover, Tokyo is closer to the east than Nagano, so Tokyo’s sunrise and sunset is a little earlier than Nagano.
Wear, Clothes in Japan in February
I recommend that you wear down jackets when you go outside. However, I’d you like to know that inside the building is usually warm. And then, it’s better to wear clothes which are easier to organize your condition.
Pick up Activity, Event and Sightseeing Spots in February
In February, Nagano has events using snows. For example, the festival of Kamakura is held in Iiyama City from 2/8,9. Kamakura means snow huts. Inside of them, many candles are lighting up. After sunset, the landscape with candles is very beautiful. When visiting Nagano this season, please come there and enjoy it.
