Recently our travel style has been changing to the main attraction is “How beautiful photos are taken!”. It is not only a bad phenomenon but also aside of plus for tourists. Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, in Hot Spring!
If you plan to visit Nagano in the winter, definitely you will know about Snow Monkey! Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park (地獄谷野猿公苑) is one of the cutest and most instagrammble spot in Nagano. Not only looking to monkeys but also visitors can enjoy a collaboration between hot spring and monkeys. They may not be aware of people because the hot springs are too comfortable. Probably you want also to take a hot spring after taking a photo.
Mount Fuji from Chureito Pagoda, with Cherry Blosoom Spots!
Chureito Pagoda is the most famous photo spot around Mount Fuji. Visitors can take a Moun Fuji’s photo with Chureito Pagoda. The Japanese photo is spread around the world. And if you visit in the spring, you will take a special photo of Mount Fuji, Chureito Pagoda, and Cherry Blossoms! And if you visit in the autumn, you will take a photo of Mount Fuji, Chureito Pagoda and Autumn leave! We recommend visiting each season.
Atera Gorge, It’s an amazing blue river!
Atera Gorge (阿寺渓谷) is located in Kiso area in Nagano prefecture. The gorge is constructed for strangely shaped rocks and crystal clear rivers. Of course, visitors can put body in the river! Visitors can enjoy the collaboration between autumn leaves and rivers in autumn as well as summer.
Azumino Wasabi Farm, Enjoy Eating and Walking!
DAIO WASABI FARM (大王わさび農場) is located in Hotaka area in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Visitors can enjoy eating wasabi food, touching the rich nature of Azumino walking around the biggest wasabi farm in Japan. There are two instagrammble contents at Daio Wasabi Farm. The first content is the above photo’s spot where visitors can take a photo clear river with a traditional water wheel! The second content is Wasabi Soft Ice! It is green and a little flavor of Wasabi!
Senbon Torii in Kyoto, Fushimi Inari
Probably the Senbon Torii in Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社) is the most well-known sightseeing spot in Japan. The Senbon Torii means that there are about a thousand Shinto Shrine’s gate. Senbon Torii is one of the most famous and popular sightseeing spots in Kyoto. Many many visitors uploaded ingeniously photos. Let’s try to take Original picture than anyone！
Shirakoma Pond
Shirakoma Pond (白駒池) is well known as a breathtaking that scenery reflected on the lake. Autumn forest and a chilling morning are visitors can look to only this place’s landscape. By the way, this photo was taken in the morning at 5 pm in the spring. That time was so cold because the lake is located at about 1,800 altitudes! Please be aware of having a coat!
Beautiful Sea in Okinawa island
More than half of this article is occupied by the winter scenery of Nagano prefecture. However, there are a lot of summer instagrammble spots in Japan. Okinawa (沖縄) is a famous island prefecture that has one of the cleanest and beautiful seas in Japan. Japan is an island country, but there are actually a few beautiful seas. If you would like to enjoy the Japanese sea, we recommend visiting Okinawa’s islands!
Iiyama Kamakura Village, A lot of Snow House
Iiyama Snow Festival (飯山雪まつり) is a big event in Iiyama city. Every year this festival is held two days in February. There are many snow houses, snow sculptures, Lanterns in the festival place. At night, all snow houses are lighted-up from inside. Its landscape is so wondrous. On the other hand, visitors can take part in the “snow sculpture walk rally”. Let’s look at the art of snow in Iiyama city!

Shirakawago, Japanese Traditional Houses
Shirakawago (白川郷) is located deep in the mountains in Gifu prefecture. In 1995, Shirakawago was registered as a World Heritage Site. Big Japanese traditional houses are called “Gassho Dukuri”. There are attractive events each season. The above picture was taken at the last of March. If you go by the beginning of March, you can shoot a snowy landscape.
Tsumago and Magome Travel
Tsumago-juku post town (妻籠宿) and Magome-juku post town are located near bound Nagano and Gifu prefecture. During the Edo period, traveler, merchant, administrator used transport Edo (now Tokyo) with Kyoto. We can look a state of remaining Japanese traditional townscape and feel a historical atmosphere. Visitors can take pictures as if you were time-slip to the Japanese Samurai Period!
