DRIVE THE VENUS LINE IN NAGANO, JAPAN

Venus Line (ビーナスライン) is a mountain sightseeing way from Chino city to Ueda city while 76 km. There are lots of sightseeing spots on the way, visitor can enjoy the contrast each spot. UTSUKUSHIGAHARA KOGEN HIGHLANDS

There Utsukusigahara Highlands (美ヶ原高原) is an almost center, a part of the biggest national park (39,857ha) in Nagano prefecture. The top of the mountain is a pasture. There are many kinds of alpine plants and several places of great viewpoints, so we recommend that you try to walk a tracking course. Please be careful of attire, because Utsukushigahara is altitude 2000 meters place.

KIRIGAMINE KOGEN

Kirigamine Kogen Plateau (霧ヶ峰高原) is the highest altitude area on the Venus Line. Visitors can trek while watching beautiful plants and flowers throughout the 4 seasons. In particular, the yellow flowers Nikkoukisuge (ニッコウキスゲ) that bloom in summer are famous.

LAKE SHIRAKABA

Lake Shirakaba (白樺湖) is the most gathering sightseeing place in Tateshina town. There are family enjoy the park, some big hotel, several kinds of museums and much more. If a visitor wants a simple and calm trip, it might be a little tiring. However, it is the best place to take a break of the trip. Because there is a convenience store (Resort LAWSON/リゾートローソン)  where you can buy beverages and snacks.

LAKE MEGAMI

Lake Megami (女神湖) is one of the must-see attractions in the plateau area in Tateshina town. There is a small path around the lake, so visitors can go around by bicycle or walking. There is a Megamiko Center (女神湖センター) which is a complex facility with restaurants and shops. Visitor can enjoy a superb view and local foods.

KURUMAYAMA KOGEN PLATEAU

Kurumayama Kogen Plateau (車山高原) is located Kuruma mountain between Suwa city and Chino city. There is a top of the mountain at 1,925 altitudes, visitor can feel the fresh air and look to mountain Fuji. Visitors can go by lift from the foot of the mountain to the summit. The rift is adult-1,600yen, child-1,000yen.

TATESHINA SHINYU ONSEN HOTEL
