In the winter season, Nagano prefecture’s several towns hold a winter festival. For example, the Snow festival, Snowdome festival and much more. Ice Garden Lantern Festival at Kakeyu Onsen area in Ueda city (鹿教湯温泉氷灯ろう夢祈願) is one of the most fantastic and beautiful winter festivals. A lantern made of ice creates a unique atmosphere.
