From Osaka and Kyoto, it takes 4 hours by shinkansen, rapid train (local train), and bus.
Firstly you take Tokaido Shinkansen to Nagoya for about 1 hour. And you take a rapid train called wide view Shinano to Matsumoto for about 2 hours. Finally, it takes 1 hour from Matsumoto to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route by local train and bus.

In the spring season, you can see a majestic snow corridor whose high is 20 meters. A section of the snow corridor around Murodo is open to pedestrians usually from the middle of April to the end of June.
Moreover, tourists in the summer and autumn season can enjoy seeing the floor in the mountain and autumn leaves. Around Murodo and Daikanbo from late September to early October, the color of leaves is changing.
