Tomioka Silk Mill (富岡製糸場)
Tomioka Silk Mill is one of the world heritage sites in Japan. During the Meiji period, it was built. In the past time, there the industry in textile, especially of threads was flourish, but now Japanese textile factory is going to China and other some countries after they were destroyed. However, Tomioka Silk Mill still remains. If you come there, you could take part in tours for sightseeing and more about the history of the Japanese textile industry.
Gunmamachi Hotodakofungun (保渡田古墳群)
Gunmamachi Hottheodakofungun is one of kofun which is brave of emperors in every area. In 1985, it is registered as the historical site by the Japanese government. There you could see some Haniwa which are the small sculptured explained history of Japan such as the way to live in the past.
Konnyaku Park (こんにゃくパーク)
Konnyaku Park is a spot where you could enjoy Konnyaku which is soft and interesting food in Japan. And the produce of Konnyaku is more in Gunma than other areas in Japan, so there is a factory of Konnyaku in Gunma, there you could understand Konnyaku. And you could not enjoy sightseeing in the factory, but also eat Konnyaku dish without money, you could enjoy many kinds of the menu of Konnyaku.
Ueno Village Kana River (神流川)
Ueno Village Kana River is the second river of Tonegawa linking between Saitama and Gunma. Through Gunma, Saitama, and Nagano, the river is running in the north direction. There is a park along the river called Kannnagawa Mizube park. In the festival of Children, some carp streamers called Koinobori is displayed in the park. Every year, many visitors come to the park in the season.
